Create Me New stems from a deeper meaning flowing out of the Bible in 2 Corinthians 5:17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold the new has come. How exciting is that?! I enjoy the idea that just because something is old doesn’t mean it is worthless. My passion for my many hobbies - decorating, creating, and garage selling - all flow from the idea of loving to see the process of transformation.
Now for my hobby of garage selling. You may be wondering, “What”? I had the same question! Out of nowhere my passion for garage selling formed and I must say if there were a word that meant close to addiction that would be me. I enjoy the hunt for a treasure (mainly something I have been wanting but can’t afford to buy it new).
When my husband and I first got married and moved into our house it was extremely bare. Now for a decorator wanna-be this did not go well with my inner longing for that magazine room. So garage sales became my go to. I began to find items I wanted for around 90% of their original price. Hence, this blog/how-to manual that will form as I post.
Many items I find are not perfect but with a little work, creative mind churning, and time, items can become just like new. Let’s transform together from the inside out!
